Delete Your Account & Data
You can delete your Lewo Messenger account (Google Play app, package com.halaeats.lewo) and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains how to delete your account from inside the app, how to request deletion if you can't use the app, what data is removed, and what may be retained.
Delete your account in the app
- Open Lewo Messenger on your phone.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Read the warning and confirm.
Your account is then permanently deleted, along with the personal data tied to it (see What is deleted). This action is immediate and cannot be reversed.
Request deletion without the app
If you can no longer access the app or your device, you can ask us to delete your account and data by email:

To protect your account, we verify that the request comes from the account owner before deleting anything. We may contact you to confirm ownership.
What is deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove the personal data associated with it from our active systems, including:
- Your account and profile (display name, profile photo, bio)
- Your registered phone number and any email linked to the account
- Your messages, group and channel content, and media stored on our servers
- Your contacts/connections data held for the service
- Your encryption key records held on our servers (your private keys live only on your device and are removed when you delete the app)
Because your messages, calls, and media are end-to-end encrypted, their content is never readable by us; deleting your account removes the account and the associated server-side data and key material.
What may be retained
We may retain a limited amount of information for a limited period where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce our Terms and Child Safety Standards. Any such data is kept only as long as necessary and then deleted. Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within 90 days.
How long it takes
- In-app deletion takes effect immediately; data is removed from active systems right away.
- Deletion requests by email are completed within 30 days of us verifying your ownership of the account.
- Backups containing residual data are purged within 90 days.
