Terms of Service
LEWO is a private messenger for one-to-one chats, group chats, channels, and voice and video calls. These terms explain the rules for using LEWO, what you are responsible for, and what you can expect from us. Please read them carefully before using the service.
By creating an account or using LEWO, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use LEWO.
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and LEWO. By accessing or using the LEWO app and related services (together, the "Service"), you accept these Terms and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
Your use of LEWO is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what limited data we collect and how it is handled.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use LEWO. If the laws where you live set a higher minimum age for using a service like this or for consenting to the processing of your personal data, you must meet that higher age.
By using LEWO, you confirm that you meet these age requirements and that you are legally able to agree to these Terms. We may suspend or remove accounts that we reasonably believe belong to someone who does not meet the minimum age.
3. Your account
To use LEWO you register an account, usually tied to a phone number. You agree to:

4. A free, ad-supported service
LEWO is free to use. To keep it free, the Service is supported by advertising. Being honest about this matters to us, so here is exactly how it works:
- We show ads inside the app.
- Because your messages, calls, and shared media are end-to-end encrypted, the content of your conversations is never read by us or by advertisers, and is never used to target ads.
- Ads may use limited non-content information such as device and app details, approximate region or language, general app usage, and an advertising identifier. Some of this information may be shared with advertising partners who help deliver and measure ads.
- You can limit ad personalization at any time through your device settings (for example, by resetting or restricting your advertising identifier).

5. Acceptable use and prohibited conduct
LEWO is built for private, lawful communication. You are responsible for how you use it. You agree not to use LEWO, and not to use it to help anyone else, to:
- Break any applicable law or regulation.
- Create, request, share, store, or promote child sexual abuse material (CSAM), or to groom, sexually exploit, or endanger a child in any way. This is strictly prohibited with zero tolerance. See our Child Safety Standards.
- Harass, threaten, stalk, bully, or incite violence against any person.
- Promote terrorism, violent extremism, human trafficking, or other serious harm.
- Send spam, unsolicited bulk messages, scams, phishing, or fraudulent schemes.
- Distribute malware, viruses, or any code intended to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to devices, accounts, or systems.
- Infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of others.
- Impersonate any person or organization, or misrepresent your identity to deceive others.
- Attempt to circumvent, probe, or interfere with the security, encryption, or normal operation of the Service, or use it to harvest data about other users.
We do not read the content of your end-to-end-encrypted chats and calls. That does not make this conduct acceptable: these rules apply to your behaviour everywhere on LEWO, including channels and any other surface where content may be visible to us or reported to us.
6. Reporting, moderation and consequences
LEWO gives you tools to keep yourself safe: you can block other users to stop receiving their messages and calls, and you can report abusive accounts, channels, or content you receive.
We review reports we receive. Depending on the severity and nature of a violation, we may take one or more of the following actions, with or without prior notice:
- Remove or restrict access to reported content where we are able to.
- Limit, suspend, or permanently terminate the accounts involved.
- Preserve relevant information and report unlawful activity, including child sexual abuse and exploitation, to the appropriate authorities such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement.
Child sexual abuse material and the sexual exploitation of children result in immediate account termination and reporting to authorities. To report child-safety concerns, contact childsafety@lewohq.com and read our Child Safety Standards.
7. Your content and responsibility
You own the content you create and share on LEWO, such as your messages, media, and calls. We do not claim ownership of it.
You are solely responsible for the content you send and for ensuring you have the right to share it. You grant LEWO only the limited permission needed to operate the Service for you, for example to transmit, route, and temporarily store encrypted content so it can be delivered to the people you are communicating with. We do not use your private message or call content to promote the Service or to target advertising.
8. Encryption
Your one-to-one chats, group chats, channel messages, and voice and video calls are protected with end-to-end encryption. This means the content is encrypted on your device and can only be read by the intended participants. We cannot read the content of your encrypted messages, calls, or shared media, and neither can advertisers.
Encryption protects content in transit and in our systems. It does not protect content once it reaches another participant's device, and it cannot prevent someone you are talking to from saving, copying, screenshotting, or forwarding what you send. Choose who you communicate with carefully, and keep your own device secure.
9. Service availability
We work to keep LEWO reliable, but we do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service at any time.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements or be free from interruptions, delays, or errors.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LEWO will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, messages, or communications, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
11. Termination
You may stop using LEWO and delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect users or the Service.
When your account is terminated, your right to use the Service ends. We may delete your account information, subject to any limited retention required by law. Because messages are end-to-end encrypted and primarily held on devices, deleting your account does not necessarily remove copies of content already delivered to other participants.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of LEWO after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.
